Occupation authorities order demolition of seven apartments near Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, May 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities ordered on Wednesday morning the demolition of seven apartments in the Qalandya village, north of the occupied West Bank village of Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem Governorate.

It said that the occupation forces stormed the village and handed the owners of seven apartments military notices, ordering them to self-demolish their structures, purportedly for being built without licenses.

The occupation authorities have given apartment owners until the end of the Eid Al-Adha holiday, corresponding to Saturday, May 30, to carry out the demolition themselves, warning that if they fail to comply, the occupation authorities’ machinery would carry out the demolition next Sunday, while imposing heavy financial fines and demolition costs on the apartment owners.
