HEBRON, May 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained an elderly man and four children on Sunday during a raid on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.
Local activist Mohammed Awad said Israeli forces stormed the town, raided and searched several homes, and detained 72-year-old Yusuf Hassan Ikhlil, along with four children.
The detained children were identified as Rebhi Muhammad Rabhi Awad, 15, Musab Safi Muhammad Al-Salibi, 16, Ayham Mufeed Muhammad Ikhlil, 16, and Saleh Saeed Saleh Za’qiq, 16.
The raid comes after a young man was injured by live fire during an earlier Israeli military incursion into Beit Ummar on Saturday evening, with his condition described as moderate.
