BETHLEHEM, May 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were injured by live Israeli gunfire on Saturday evening during an Israeli military raid into the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem.

Local and medical sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the town and deployed in several areas and the town center. During the raid, Israeli soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas canisters, and stun grenades at residents.

The assault resulted in two Palestinians being shot with live bullets in their lower limbs. Both were transferred to hospital for treatment.
