RAMALLAH, March 13, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces seized 133 dunums of Palestinian residents’ land on Friday in the governorates of Jenin and Salfit under the pretext of “military purposes.”
The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission said in a statement that the occupation authorities issued three separate orders to confiscate Palestinian citizens’ land.
In Jenin Governorate, two military orders targeted land in the town of Arraba, seizing 128.6 dunums for the expansion of a military site east of the town, and an additional 3.6 dunums for the construction of a road in the same area.
In Salfit Governorate, the occupation authorities issued an order to confiscate 999 square meters of land in the town of Deir Istiya for the construction of a “security road” south of the town of Marda, adjacent to the colonial settlement of Ariel, which itself was illegally built on Palestinian-owned land in the governorate.
Israeli occupation authorities also issued two military orders to remove trees from 47 dunums of Palestinian-owned land in the governorates of Jenin and Salfit.
In Jenin Governorate, the first order targeted 21.43 dunums east of the town of Arraba near a military site, while in Salfit Governorate, the second order targeted 25.74 dunums in Deir Istiya, removing tree cover north of the town along Wadi Qana Street, east of Qalqilya Governorate.
Data from the Commission indicate that during first two weeks of the ongoing Iran–Israel–U.S. war, Israeli authorities issued 12 land seizure orders under the pretext of “military and security purposes,” confiscating a total of 250 dunums across Ramallah, Jenin, Jerusalem, Jericho, Tubas, and Nablus to construct military roads, sites, and buffer zones.
The report further noted that 11 additional military orders, issued under the banner of “security measures,” targeted the removal of trees from 817 dunums—seven orders in Ramallah and one order each in Nablus, Tulkarm, Jenin, and Bethlehem.
Among the largest orders were those targeting 380 dunums of tree cover in the villages of Silwad, Atara, and Ein Siniya north of Ramallah, as well as orders affecting lands in Ramin in Tulkarm Governorate and Huwara in Nablus Governorate.
