RAMALLAH, March 10, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday detained 11 Palestinians in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank, according to security and local sources.
They said that the occupying forces rounded up a Palestinian from Bir Nabala town, northwest of Jerusalem.
Still in the Jerusalem governorate, the occupation forces detained two Palestinians after stopping their vehicle at the entrance of al-Eizariya town.
They showed up at a house in Beit Duqqu town, northwest of Jerusalem, conducted a thorough search, and detained an occupant.
In the Tubas governorate, Kamal Bani Odeh, Director of the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) Office, confirmed a raid in al-Aqabah village, leading to the detention of another.
In the Tulkarm governorate, a convoy of army vehicles stormed Deir al-Ghusun town, where the soldiers stormed a house and detained two Palestinians.
In the Nablus governorate, Israeli special forces sneaked their way into the Balata refugee camp and besieged the al-Madares neighborhood, before Israeli soldiers raided the area.
They detained a Palestinian and ransacked his house, wreaking havoc inside.
In the Hebron governorate, the gun-toting Israeli soldiers rounded up two Palestinians from Masafer Yatta.
The sources confirmed a similar raid in Dura, south of Hebron, resulting in the detention of a Palestinian.
The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids are conducted without a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping, arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
According to the latest figures from Addameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,300 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 350 child prisoners and 56 female prisoners.
This number includes approximately 3,358 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.
