Vice President meets with Turkish ambassador, discuss latest development

RAMALLAH, February 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Palestinian Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh met on Wednesday with the Turkish Ambassador to Palestine, Ismail Çobanoğlu, to discuss the latest political and international developments.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the situation in the Palestinian territories, particularly the ongoing siege and the worsening humanitarian conditions. They stressed the urgent need to lift the siege and deliver humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza, and to put an end to the systematic settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Al-Sheikh expressed his appreciation for Turkey's supportive role towards the Palestinian people and its efforts to alleviate their suffering. Ambassador Çobanoğlu affirmed his country's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
