RAMALLAH, October 29, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists attacked olive pickers on Thursday in the town of Kafr Malik, northeast of Ramallah.
Local sources told WAFA that dozens of colonists infiltrated Palestinian-owned land in the town, pursued olive pickers and attacked them.
The attacks come as the olive harvest season gets underway. Across several areas, Palestinian farmers face colonist assaults that include stealing olives, cutting down and burning trees, and seizing crops, in an effort to prevent farmers from accessing their land and harvesting their produce.
Colonists carried out 1,647 attacks last month, according to the figures cited. Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate recorded 506 attacks, followed by Nablus with 342, Hebron with 272, Jenin with 202, Bethlehem with 187, Tulkarem with 152, and Jerusalem with 149.
