HEBRON, October 29, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian house on Thursday in the town of Tarqumiya, northwest of Hebron.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces raided the Shaab al-Bir area, west of Tarqumiya, and used bulldozers to demolish a home belonging to Fadi Abu Hjeisheh. The house sheltered seven people, who were left homeless.
The area has been subjected to repeated attacks by Israeli colonists and forces because of its proximity to the settlements of Telem and Adora, built on Palestinian-owned land. Colonists are seeking to expand both settlements at the expense of Palestinian land.
Last year, Israeli forces issued demolition orders for 12 homes in the area, and have already demolished several of them in recent months. The number of families affected by the ongoing assault has risen to more than 780, while around 5,000 Palestinians face siege and forced displacement.
Since the assault began, Israeli forces have detained more than 115 Palestinians, including a girl, and detained hundreds of others, subjecting them to abuse.
