HEBRON, October 29, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli colonist opened live fire on a group of children and Palestinian homes on Thursday in the village of Sikka, southwest of Hebron.
Walid Hashish, head of Sikka village council, told WAFA that a colonist driving a vehicle fired at children playing football at the school’s playground east of the village, then shot toward homes, causing panic and fear among the children.
Hashish added that the colonist also deliberately shot guard dogs around residents’ homes, killing three of them.
He said villagers face daily attacks that have escalated significantly and now pose a serious threat to their lives. The attacks intensified after colonists seized an old house east of the village six months ago and turned it into an outpost just a few meters from Palestinian homes.
The village is now surrounded by colonists, who prevent residents from accessing and cultivating their land and tending to it.
An outpost established east of the village serves as a base for daily attacks against residents, while the separation wall encircles the village from the west. To the north, colonists have seized village land, and have also built a colonial road on the village’s southern side.
