HEBRON, October 29, 2026 (WAFA) — Two Palestinians were injured and seven others detained by Israeli forces on Thursday as their ongoing assault on the Hebron governorate entered its seventh consecutive day. Meanwhile, the support and relief committee continues to provide emergency assistance to displaced and affected families despite Israeli restrictions.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces beat Ahmad Abu Hashhash after raiding his home in the town of Dura, south of Hebron, searching it and destroying its contents. He sustained facial injuries.
In the Wadi al-Samen area, Zain al-Din Abu Aram sustained bruises and contusions after being beaten by Israeli soldiers. He was taken to Yatta Governmental Hospital for treatment.
Security sources told WAFA that Israeli forces detained Abdullah al-Natsheh and his son Hamza, Wael Yaqin al-Natsheh, Yasser Nabil al-Sharawati, and Hossam Karam al-Awiwi in Hebron city after searching their homes and destroying their contents.
The forces also detained brothers Salah and Musa al-Adra while they were plowing their land in the Arjoum Ali area east of Yatta, south of the governorate.
Israeli forces raided several homes in the towns of Taffuh and Halhul, mistreated their occupants and destroyed their belongings. No injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, Israeli colonists attacked Palestinians and their vehicles in the Ras al-Joura area, near the northern entrance to Hebron city, which has been closed since the assault on the city began last Friday.
Israeli forces have continued their assault on the Hebron governorate for seven consecutive days, imposing a tight siege and closing its entrances and exits. They have also kept the al-Jalda and Deir Bahha areas of Hebron city closed, while conducting daily raids on homes and destroying their contents.
Israeli forces also forcibly displaced several families from their homes while confining others inside their houses and preventing them from leaving.
According to figures from the Follow-up and Support Committee and Hebron Municipality, around 780 families have been affected by the assault, while approximately 5,000 people have been displaced or remain under siege, particularly in al-Jalda and Deir Bahha, which have been under a tight siege and closure since last Friday.
Despite Israeli restrictions and the prevention of aid deliveries to sealed-off areas west of Hebron city, the support and relief committee continues to provide emergency assistance to families displaced or otherwise affected by the assault.
Committee head Sufian al-Muhtaseb told Wafa that the committee had managed in recent days to meet and distribute a substantial portion of the affected residents’ needs, reaching around 700 families. The assistance included temporary shelters, food supplies, medicines and other basic necessities for both families forcibly displaced from their homes and those still trapped in al-Jalda and Deir Bahha, west of Hebron.
He said there was an urgent need for temporary shelter for around 135 families, as well as medicines for people with chronic illnesses and children. Daily needs include at least 700 food parcels, he added.
Al-Muhtaseb warned that the continued assault would further worsen residents’ suffering. He said the committee was constantly receiving distress calls from families trapped inside sealed-off areas, as Israeli forces restrict movement and obstruct relief teams and aid from reaching them.
