537 Palestinian families displaced by ongoing Israeli aggression in Hebron

HEBRON, October 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin said today that 537 Palestinian families, comprising 3,361 people, have been forced to leave their homes amid Israel's ongoing offensive on the city, including children, pregnant women, older people and patients, as citizens face difficulties accessing healthcare and other essential services.

The humanitarian, economic and educational consequences of the offensive were outlined during a press conference held on Thursday at the Hebron Governorate office, where participants also discussed developments and ongoing interventions in the areas of Jalda, Ain Deir Bahha and Farsh al-Hawa.

According to figures presented at the conference, the displacement has affected 537 families, while daily economic losses are estimated at between 10 million and 12 million shekels. Relief efforts and legal and international initiatives to address the consequences of the siege are continuing.

Dudin said the offensive disrupted education for approximately 262,000 students across 589 schools in the governorate over the past week. Thousands of students in besieged and displaced areas remain unable to reach their schools.

Sufian al-Muhtaseb, head of the support and relief committee appointed by the governor, said the committee had verified data on the 537 affected families, including 232 infants, 1,193 children aged between two and 17, 326 older people, 147 pregnant or breastfeeding women, 32 people with disabilities and 213 people with chronic illnesses.
