RAMALLAH, November 13, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has strongly condemned the recent arson attack on Hajjeh Hamideh Mosque, located between Kifl Haris and Deir Istiya in Salfit Governorate. The attack, carried out by extremist Israeli colonists, resulted in the destruction of the mosque and the defacement of its walls with racist slogans.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry held the Israeli government fully responsible for the escalating violence, which it described as part of a broader wave of settler terrorism that is supported and protected by Israeli policies that aim to displace Palestinians and entrench the colonial occupation in the West Bank.
The Ministry called on the international community—including the United Nations (UN), UNESCO, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)—to take immediate and binding actions to protect religious sites in Palestine and to hold the perpetrators of such attacks accountable for their crimes.
The Ministry also reiterated that the State of Palestine will continue its political, legal, and diplomatic efforts in international forums to secure justice for the Palestinian people and to bring an end to the ongoing Israeli occupation.
