NABLUS, October 24, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian olive pickers on Friday morning in the town of Beit Dajan, east of Nablus, as well as near the town of Deir Ballut, in the West Bank province of Salfit, according to local sources.

In Beit Dajan, witnesses reported that colonists assaulted farmers while they were picking olives on their own land north of the town, preventing them from continuing the harvest.

Meanwhile, colonists attacked Palestinian farmers in Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, preventing them from harvesting olives on their lands, local sources said.

The sources added that colonists from a nearby settlement outpost, recently established, assaulted the Abdullah family while they were working on their land, stopping them from continuing the olive harvest.

Israeli forces intervened to protect the colonists, briefly detained the family members, and confiscated their mobile phones before expelling them from the site, warning them not to return without an Israeli permit.

Farmers across the West Bank have faced repeated attacks by Israeli colonists and soldiers during the olive harvest season. These assaults often include physical violence, harassment, uprooting of trees, and blocking access to agricultural lands located near or within settlement areas.

The annual olive harvest, a vital part of the Palestinian economy and heritage, frequently turns violent as colonists seek to intimidate farmers and restrict their access to their land. Human rights organizations have condemned such attacks and called on Israeli authorities to halt settler violence and ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians.
