At the beginning of the meeting, Vice President al-Sheikh conveyed the greetings of President Mahmoud Abbas to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, expressing the State of Palestine and its people's appreciation for Egypt's role in supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause.
He praised Egypt's mediation efforts to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and its efforts to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Gaza.
Al-Sheikh emphasized that the State of Palestine's priority is an immediate and urgent ceasefire, the entry of humanitarian aid, the need for the State of Palestine to assume its civil and security responsibilities, the withdrawal of the occupying forces, and the commencement of a political process based on international legitimacy.

In turn, the Egyptian Foreign Minister welcomed the Vice President's visit and its importance in increasing joint coordination. He expressed Egypt's full support for the State of Palestine and the reforms it is undertaking, which were previously announced by President Mahmoud Abbas, President of the State of Palestine, during the recent extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo.
Minister Badr Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's continued mediation efforts to resume the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, in partnership with Qatar and the United States. He also emphasized Egypt's tireless efforts to enhance the flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in light of the rapid deterioration of the humanitarian situation there. Minister Abdelatty also addressed the issue of early recovery and reconstruction in the Gaza Strip in accordance with the Arab-Islamic plan, reviewing developments in the ongoing preparations for Egypt's hosting of an international conference for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip in partnership with the United Nations and the Palestinian government.

This is the only solution to resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, and will allow for the achievement of security, stability, and peace in the region on solid foundations.
