NABLUS, January 11, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures today, imposing severe restrictions on the movement of Palestinians around the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent reported that the forces tightened procedures at existing checkpoints, closed some of them entirely, and set up new ones on key roads connecting Jenin and Nablus, as well as Tubas and Nablus.
These measures have caused significant traffic congestion, restricted the movement of Palestinians, and led to long delays for identity checks and vehicle inspections.
The restrictions have disrupted daily life in the area, further exacerbating challenges faced by local commuters who depend on these routes for access to essential services.
Over the last months, Israeli occupation forces have been imposing similar measures across the occupied West Bank, including the use of iron gates and earth barriers at the entrances to various towns and villages.
These restrictions have a direct impact on the daily lives of Palestinians and their ability to move freely within their own territories.
