Five teachers struck and injured by Israeli military vehicle in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, January 5, 2025 (WAFA) — Five teachers sustained bruises and injuries today after their vehicle was struck by an Israeli military vehicle in the northern Jordan Valley, according to local sources.

The incident occurred when an Israeli military jeep, traveling through the area, crashed into the vehicle of Mohamed Sawafta, a teacher from Bardala Secondary School. He was accompanied by four other teachers when the collision took place near the village of Ein al-Bayda.

Local sources reported that the group of teachers had been stationary in their vehicle when the Israeli military jeep rammed into them. Following the crash, the five teachers were immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The attack comes just hours after Israeli forces raided Bardala Secondary School, during regular school hours. The raid was reportedly incited by colonists from a newly established colonial outpost to the west of Bardala village.
