JORDAN VALLEY, January 5, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed a school in the village of Bardala in the northern Jordan Valley on Sunday.
The raid targeted Bardala Secondary School for both boys and girls, following provocation by colonists from a new colonial outpost near the village.
According to human rights activist Lin Sawafta, the Israeli forces carried out the assault on the school based on encouragement from colonists living in a newly established colonial settlement located to the west of Bardala.
The outpost, which was set up around two weeks ago, has been a source of increased tension and violence in the area.
Since the settlement's establishment, incidents of harassment, violence, and provocations by colonists towards the local Palestinian population have escalated, with many residents of Bardala reporting ongoing intimidation and disruptions to their daily lives.
