GAZA, January 4, 2024 (WAFA) – Several civilians were killed and others injured on Saturday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting the cities of Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces struck a residential home in Deir al-Balah, located in central Gaza, resulting in the killing of three individuals and injuries to several others.
In a separate attack, a house near the Palestinian Red Crescent Society headquarters in the al-Amal neighborhood of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza, was also hit, leading to further casualties and injuries among residents.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 45,717 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 108,856 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
