GAZA, January 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured this morning in Israeli airstrikes east of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.
WAFA correspondent reported that the strikes targeted a gathering in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, resulting in casualties and significant destruction.
Since early Thursday, 13 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli attacks across various areas in Gaza, with 11 fatalities reported in Khan Younis alone.
Meanwhile, Israeli quadcopters have been firing in the Karama and Saftawi areas in northern Gaza City, while the Israeli military continues to demolish residential buildings west of Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has so far resulted in at least 45,553 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 108,379 others injured.
Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's genocidal attacks continue unabated despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent genocide and alleviate the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
