TUBAS, December 22, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures at the Tayasir checkpoint, located east of Tubas in the occupied West Bank, early this morning, causing significant disruptions for local commuters.
According to reports from the scene, the Israeli forces obstructed the movement of vehicles, particularly those heading towards the Jordan Valley, resulting in a severe traffic jam. This has led to delays for residents who rely on this route for daily travel.
The Tayasir checkpoint has seen heightened military restrictions and frequent closures over the past year, especially during the morning hours, which coincide with the work schedules of people traveling to the northern Jordan Valley.
Local residents have expressed growing frustration over the continuing restrictions, which have become a routine part of daily life in the area.
