SALFIT, December 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces have closed all entrances to the village of Haris, in the occupied West Bank province of Salfit, halting movement in and out of the area, according to local sources.
Omar Samara, the head of the Haris Village Council, told WAFA that Israeli forces sealed off both the main and secondary entrances to the village, as well as the routes connecting it to nearby towns, such as Deir Istiya. The closures were enforced with metal gates and military checkpoints, severely disrupting the daily movement of residents.
The closures have led to significant difficulties for locals trying to travel to surrounding areas for work, school, and other essential activities. Such measures are part of a broader pattern of movement restrictions in the West Bank, especially in areas located near Israeli settlements or military zones.
