UPDATE: Several Palestinians suffocate by tear gas in Nablus-area confrontations

NABLUS, November 22, 2024 (WAFA) - Several Palestinians suffocated by tear gas on Friday during Israeli military incursions into the towns of Qasra and Osarin, south of Nablus, according to local sources.

Sources said that Israeli forces stormed the town of Qasra, amid the firing of live ammunition and tear gas canisters at residents' homes, triggering confrontations. Several people suffered from suffocation due to tear gas inhalation.

In a later development, several Palestinian residents suffocated by tear gas during an Israeli military raid into the village of Osarin, south of Nablus, according to medical and local sources.

Sources said Israeli forces attacked residents with tear gas canisters during the confrontations, causing several people to suffocate.

Israeli soldiers also targeted residents’ homes with rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters and sound grenades.
