Over 12 Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in West Bank

RAMALLAH, November, 19, 2024 (WAFA) –  Israeli occupation forces detained at least 12 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank, including former prisoners, during a series of overnight raids, according to the Palestinian Prisoners' Society and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.

The detentions were distributed across the governorates of Hebron, Qalqilya, Jenin, Ramallah, Tubas, and Tulkarm.

The two organizations said in a joint statement that the detentions are part of Israel's ongoing campaign of widespread detentions across the West Bank. In addition to the detentions, Israeli forces subjected detainees and their families to threats, physical abuse, and destruction of property during the raids.

The recent detentions bring the total number of Palestinians detained since the beginning of the ongoing Israeli aggression to over 11,700, including those arrested from both the West Bank and Jerusalem. These numbers reflect the growing scale of Israel's mass detention policy, which has intensified dramatically since October 7, 2024.
