RAMALLAH, November 8, 2024 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces Friday stormed the Beitunia city and Ein Qiniya village, west and northwest of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to local sources.
They said that a convoy of army vehicles stormed the town and village, with soldiers deploying in their streets.
There was no immediate information on any detention cases or confrontations.
Earlier, two youths sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in the course of a raid in Beitunia.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its crews provided first aid treatment to two young men; one who sustained a live round injury in the thigh and the other who sustained a live gunshot injury in the shoulder.
The PRCS crews evacuated the two casualties to a hospital.
Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which also take place in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.
Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
