GAZA, Monday, August 26, 2024 (WAFA) - Dozens of civilians, including children and women, were killed and wounded this evening, as a result of the ongoing bombardment of the Israeli occupation on scattered areas in the Gaza Strip, especially the provinces of Gaza, Khan Yunis and Rafah.
According to medical sources, 14 bodies were brought to the Nasser Medical Complex as a result of the occupation’s continuous bombing of Khan Yunis and Rafah.
Journalist sources in the Gaza Strip confirmed that journalist Ali Taima was killed in the occupation’s shelling of a civilian vehicle in the Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis.
The Palestine Red Crescent paramedics confirmed that the bodies of three civilians and several wounded people were transported to the Kamal Adwan hospital after an Israeli missile targeted a food stall in the Hawja St. in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Strip.
According to local sources, four people were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a vehicle west of Khan Yunis, shortly after four bodies and several wounded were brought to the Kuwait Field Hospital as a result of the occupation's shelling of al-Nasser Street in the Mawasi area west of Rafah.
Two civilians were also killed in an Israeli shelling of the coastal area of al-Qarara northwest of Khan Yunis, according to medical sources.
The occupation warplanes also shelled the vicinity of the Nasser Hospital and Abu Hamid Roundabout in Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in at least two civilian casualties.
Earlier this afternoon, five civilians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment of Gaza City's beach.
The number of civilians killed since the start of the occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has so far reached 40,435. At least 93,534 others have been injured. The majority of casualties are children and women.
Thousands remain missing.
