GAZA, Saturday, July 27, 2024 (WAFA) – At least 30 Palestinian civilians, including children and women, were killed and others injured this morning in an Israeli airstrike targeting a school sheltering displaced people in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that Israeli warplanes struck the school, located west of Deir al-Balah, resulting in dozens of casualties, with at least 30 confirmed fatalities and many others suffering severe injuries.

Emergency services and civil defense teams are currently working to recover the victims from the rubble. The number of fatalities may rise as search and rescue operations continue. The injured have been transported to Al-Aqsa Hospital, which is now overwhelmed with casualties.

Israel has been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting so far in the killing of 39,175 individuals, the majority of whom are women and children. Additionally, 90,403 people have been injured, according to preliminary figures.

Thousands remain trapped under debris and in the streets, with rescue and medical teams unable to reach many of the victims.
