Two Palestinians fatally shot, including a minor, two others injured in Nablus-area confrontations

NABLUS, Sunday, October 22, 2023 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were killed, including a teenager, and two others were injured by live bullets, including one seriously, during confrontations that broke out this evening with Israeli forces in the town of Zawata, west of Nablus, according to the Ministry of Health.

WAFA correspond said confrontations broke out following a military incursion into the Zawata town. More than 20 Israeli military jeeps stormed the town, spurring confrontations with residents, during which forces fired tear gas canisters and live fire heavily at residents, shooting and killing two people, including a minor, and injuring two others, including one seriously.

The ministry said that 29-year-old Jihad Saleh and Mohammed Abu Zer, 17, were fatally shot by Israeli forces’ live fire, in addition to two others who were also injured with live bullets, including one critically in the chest, and transferred to hospital for medical treatment.

The killing of the two brings up the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank since October 7, to 93.
