RAMALLAH, October 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces detained three young men on Saturday night during a raid on the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, and forced them to lower the Palestinian flag flying above the Martyrs’ Monument, according to a local official.
Amin Abu Alia, head of the al-Mughayyir Village Council, told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the village, searched two houses, and detained the three young men before taking them to the village’s western entrance, where they forced them to lower the Palestinian flag. The forces then released them.
Al-Mughayyir is frequently raided by Israeli occupation forces and continues to face colonists' attacks against its residents and their property.
