RAMALLAH, October 17, 2026 (WAFA) – The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission documented 40 attacks and violations carried out by Israeli occupation forces and terrorist colonists against farmers, agricultural land and crops, as well as those supporting the olive harvest season, on Saturday.
The attacks were recorded across the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and al-Bireh, Salfit, Jenin, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Hebron. They included gunfire, physical assaults, detentions, expulsion from land, theft of crops and equipment, and the destruction of trees.
The commission said these incidents demonstrated how attacks on farmers were accompanied by the targeting of trees, crops, equipment and access routes to agricultural land, turning the olive harvest season into a means of exerting pressure on the Palestinian presence in targeted areas.
It stressed that protecting the olive harvest season required safeguarding farmers, ensuring their safe and sustained access to their land, ending colonist attacks and the military protection accompanying them, and holding those responsible accountable.
