RAMALLAH, Friday, April 28, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold in daytime and cold in nighttime, particularly in the mountains, with a significant drop in temperature, which becomes unseasonably low, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
A chance of scattered light rain in the northern and central districts is expected. Moderate to occasionally active, southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 11°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 19°C and a low of 10°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
An extension of a low pressure and a relatively cold front are set to hit the region on Saturday, causing temperature to plummet to 5 to 6°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold conditions in daytime and cold conditions in the night.
Sporadic rain showers are expected with occasional thunderstorms in the north, and gradually spreading to the center.
Partly cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions continue to prevail on Sunday with no significant change in temperature. The chance remains for sporadic light rainfall, particularly on the northern and central districts.
Monday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 3°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and slightly cold to mild conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in the night.
