RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 (WAFA) - Exports decreased in February by 11% compared to January, while they increased by 10% compared to February 2022 and reached $136.2 million, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
Exports to Israel decreased in February by 10% compared to January and it represented 87% of total exports in February.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 18% during the same period compared to January.
Imports decreased in February by 14% compared to January, while they increased by 7% compared to February 2022 and reached $633.4 million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 13% in February compared to January and it represented 60% of total imports in February.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 15% compared to January.
The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed a decrease in trade deficit by 14% in February compared to January, while it increased by 7% compared to February 2022 and reached $497.2 million, said the PCBS.
