RAMALLAH, Thursday, April 13, 2023 (WAFA) - The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine increased in March by 1.31% compared with February as a result of the increase in the prices of fresh and dried vegetables, fresh meat, fresh fruits, and eggs.
The increase was 1.75% in the Gaza Strip, 1.21% in the West Bank, and 1.13% in parts of Jerusalem.
The CPI increased by 4.32% in March 2023 compared with March 2022 (5.13% in the West Bank, 4.48% in Jerusalem, and by 1.69% in Gaza Strip).
The changes in CPI during March were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure subgroups compared with the previous month:
