RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 8, 2023 (WAFA) – Weather today in Palestine is partly cloudy and warm with temperature remaining 6°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department.
Winds are northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, active at times, and sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 20°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 26°C and a low of 19°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 23°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 20°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Another rise in temperature is expected for tomorrow, Easter Sunday, causing the temperature to rise to 9°C above the seasonal average.
Hot conditions continue on Monday with temperature remaining 9°C above the seasonal average until the afternoon. However, temperature drops in the evening with a rise in humidity and a chance of light rainfall in some areas, mainly in the south and center of the country, which expands to cover all areas at night along with occasional thunderstorms.
A low-pressure cold front affects Palestine on Tuesday causing temperature to plummet and become 6°C below the seasonal average. Rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, is expected in most areas, said the PMD.
