RAMALLAH, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 (WAFA) - Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that President Mahmoud Abbas is conducting intensive contacts with the relevant parties to stop the Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people.
He said that the Israeli occupation’s dangerous escalation against the Palestinian people, including the continued storming of al-Aqsa mosque by extremist settlers, the ongoing siege on East Jerusalem neighborhoods, and today’s killing of a Palestinian teenager by Israeli forces, will drag the region into a dangerous situation, which Israel alone bears responsibility for its consequences.
He stressed that the international community, particularly the US administration, must promptly intervene to stop this ongoing Israeli escalation before it is too late and to end its policy of condemnation and silence which only encourages the occupation to commit more crimes against the Palestinian people and their land.
