RAMALLAH, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 (WAFA) - The overall consumer price index (CPI) for Palestine during August recorded an increase by 0.29% compared with July, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The increase was by 0.59% in the Gaza Strip, by 0.23% in the West Bank, and by 0.15% in Jerusalem.
The CPI during August increased by 2.55% compared with August 2020, an increase by 2.64% in the Gaza Strip, by 2.57% in Jerusalem, and by 2.52% in the West Bank.
The changes in the CPI for August were traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure subgroups compared with the previous month:
