RAMALLAH, September 30, 2013 (WAFA) - Preliminary estimates
at constant prices showed an increase of 1.2 percent in GDP in Palestine during
the second quarter of this year compared to the same period of last year, the Palestinian
Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said Monday.
The increase was 0.3% in West Bank to reach $1,288 million and 3.5% Gaza Strip to reach $487 million.
The results showed an increase of 7.9 percent compared to the first quarter of this year.
GDP per capita for Palestine was $427 during the second quarter, a decrease of 1.8 percent compared to the second quarter 2012.
It was $524 in the West Bank, a decrease by 2.3 percent, while in the Gaza Strip is stood at $288 without any change, said the PCBS.
