RAMALLAH, May 26, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine extended greetings on Tuesday evening to the Palestinian people at home and abroad, as well as the Arab and Islamic nations, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
He expressed his hope that God Almighty would bring this occasion back to the Palestinian people with an end to the aggression against them in the Gaza Strip, and with a halt to the attacks on Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
He voiced hope for the fulfillment of the Palestinian people’s aspirations for freedom, independence, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He further prayed for mercy upon the Palestinians killed during the aggression, t a speedy recovery to the wounded and freedom to the prisoners.
He also congratulated the Arab and Islamic nations on this blessed occasion, wishing the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries continued health and well-being, and that the aspirations of the Arab and Islamic peoples for progress and prosperity would be realized.
