Israeli ongoing airstrikes on Gaza have killed 72,803, and wounded 172,855 since October 2023

GAZA, May 26, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached  72,803, mostly women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023, according to medical sources. At least 172,855 others have also been injured.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Medical sources said that during the past 24 hours, six slain Palestinians and 34 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza.

Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, 2025, the number of those killed and injured has reached 906 and 2,747, respectively. At least 781 bodies have also been recovered from under the rubble.
