Palestinian Church Affairs Committee extends Eid al-Adha greetings

RAMALLAH, May 26, 2026 (WAFA) – The Higher Presidential Committee for Church Affairs in Palestine, represented by its Chairman, PLO Executive Committee member Ramzi Khoury, extended its warmest congratulations and blessings to the Palestinian people in the homeland and the diaspora, and to the Arab and Islamic nations, on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

In a statement, the Committee emphasized that this blessed occasion comes amidst the ongoing attacks and violations against the Palestinian people, their land, and both Islamic and Christian holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque and Church of the Holy Sepulchre

The Committee said that the Palestinian people face daily escalating attacks by colonists against Palestinian cities and villages, accompanied by acts of violence, intimidation, and targeting of citizens, their property, and places of worship, all under the protection and support of the occupation forces.

It added that this further  exacerbates the suffering of the Palestinians and deprives them of any sense of security and stability, even during religious occasions and holidays.

The Committee expressed its hope that the Eid would bring the Palestinian people greater hope and reassurance, and that God Almighty would grant them their aspirations for freedom, independence, and the establishment of their independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
