RAMALLAH, May 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held a phone call on Tuesday with Jordan’s King Abdullah II to congratulate him on the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Jordan.
During the call, President Abbas expressed appreciation for King Abdullah II’s leadership and his role in advancing development and stability in Jordan, as well as the kingdom’s important regional and international role, particularly regarding the Palestinian cause.
President Abbas also praised Jordan’s continued support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, describing it as rooted in longstanding fraternal relations between the two peoples.
He wished the Jordanian monarch continued health, happiness, and success, and expressed hopes for ongoing prosperity and progress for Jordan and its people.
President Mahmoud Abbas also congratulated King Abdullah II on the occasion of Eid al-Adha holiday, extending wishes of stability and prosperity to the Jordanian people.
