Striking Prisoner Israel Kidnapped in Ukraine Enters Clinic

RAMALLAH, August 24, 2013 (WAFA) – A Palestinian prisoner Israel had kidnapped while in the Ukraine in February 2011 and who has been on hunger strike since last week demanding to end his solitary confinement was admitted to a prison clinic following deterioration in his health, the Prisoner Club said Saturday.

Dirar Abu Sisi, 44, from the Gaza Strip disappeared while travelling in the Ukraine and was later found held in Israel.

Sisi was transferred to Ramleh prison clinic due to serious deterioration in his health, said the Prisoner Club.

Palestinian inmates in several Israeli prisons decided to go on hunger strike starting Sunday in support of Sisi.

The prisoners gave the prison administration until Saturday night to end Sisi’s isolation or else they will start solidarity measures including hunger strike and other steps until Sisi is removed from isolation, said the Prisoner Cub.
