RAMALLAH, June 23,
2013 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday received a phone call from
Mohammad Assaf, the winner of Arab Idol title, a Beirut-Lebanon-based talent
show hosted on the MBC network.
Assaf thanked Abbas
for his ongoing support which he said “had a significant impact on his success.”
Assaf also thanked
Abbas for offering him a position of Palestine goodwill ambassador with
diplomatic standing.
He said that he looks
forward to meeting his sovereignty when visiting the West Bank.
Assaf will visit West
Bank early in July.
