RAMALLAH, April 21, 2013 (WAFA) – Al-Ayyam daily Sunday reported on Israel threatening a fierce response in case Gaza appears to be responsible for the recent firing of rockets towards Eilat.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida front page headline read: “Occupation threatens and Cairo makes efforts to prevent the deterioration of the situation in Gaza.”

Al-Quds daily highlighted the US State Department’s annual report indicating that Israel violates the rights of Palestinians, women and Ethiopians.

It featured news about the Israeli TV broadcasting a shocking report about arrests of Palestinian minors at night in the West Bank.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida printed a photo of President Mahmoud Abbas, during a meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margao in Amman, in which he called on Spain to immediately intervene to stop settlement activities in the West Bank and release Palestinian prisoners.

Al-Ayyam daily printed a photo of the preparations in the city of Bethlehem, south of the West Bank, for the Palestine International Marathon, which promotes right to movement.
