Israeli colonists assault two disabled sisters, attack shepherds near Hebron

HEBRON, May 1, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists assaulted two Palestinian sisters with disabilities this evening at the entrance to the town of Sa’ir, located northeast of Hebron in the southern West Bank, by spraying them with an unidentified liquid, according to witnesses.

Shadi Jaradat, a relative of the victims, told WAFA that the colonists, traveling in a vehicle, targeted Dina and Dunya Youssef Jaradat—both in their 30s and living with disabilities—while they were waiting at a traffic light leading to the town. The sisters sustained severe irritation and redness in their faces and eyes and were transferred to a medical center in Sa’ir for treatment.

In a related incident, armed Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian shepherds in the Um Nir area in the Masafer Yatta area, south of Hebron. The assailants physically assaulted the shepherds and attempted to steal part of a flock belonging to a local Palestinian herder.

These attacks are part of a broader surge in settler violence across the occupied West Bank, often carried out under the protection of Israeli forces and aimed at displacing Palestinian communities and seizing control of agricultural lands.
