A 29-year-old Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli occupation forces on Thursday evening during a military raid in the town of Beita, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
According to Dr. Amid Ahmad, Director of the Emergency and Ambulance Center at the Palestine Red Crescent in Nablus, the victim sustained a critical gunshot wound to the chest during the Israeli raid, and was transported to Rafidia Governmental Hospital in Nablus for treatment.
Medical sources at Rafidia Hospital later confirmed to WAFA that the young man succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.
The incident occurred as Israeli forces stormed Beita, triggering confrontations with local residents. Eyewitnesses reported heavy gunfire from the Israeli forces during the incursion.
Meanwhile, in the village of Salem to the east, Israeli forces shot and injured a 16-year-old boy in the back during a similar military incursion. The child was also treated by Red Crescent teams and transferred for additional medical treatment.
