RAMALLAH, August 13, 2012 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic newspapers Monday highlighted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi’s decision to dismiss his two top military commanders and scrap a military order that restricted his powers.

Al-Quds headline said Morsi dismissed the chairman of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Mohammad Tantawi and his Chief of Staff General Sami Enan before appointing General Abdullatif Sisi as the new minister of defense.

Al-Ayyam highlighted a car accident on the outskirt of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm that resulted in 11 fatalities and four injuries.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida reported on President Mahmoud Abbas' trip to Saudi Arabia to attend a summit for Islamic countries.
