Israeli colonists torch Palestinian-owned agricultural land near Nablus

NABLUS, June 25, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday evening torched a tract of Palestinian-owned agricultural land in the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of the occupied West Bank of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that colonists attacked the outskirts of the village, setting fire to cultivated lands.

They added that the arsonists prevented Civil Defense crews from reaching the area to put off the fire.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
