PCBS issues report on price indices for Construction Cost, Road Cost, Water Networks Cost, Sewage Networks Cost in the West Bank

RAMALLAH, June 25, 2025 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) has issued on Wednesday a report on Construction Cost Index (CCI), Road Cost Index (RCI), Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) and Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank during May 2025.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 121.29 with a decrease of 0.15% during May 2025 compared with April 2025 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.27%. While, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.14%. At the same time, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2025 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* reached 120.15 with a decrease of 0.17% during May 2025 compared with April 2025 (base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.29%. While, the prices of rental of equipment slightly increased by 0.09%. At the same time, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2025 compared with the previous month.

The Construction Cost Index (CCI) for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* reached 119.03 with a decrease of 0.44% during May 2025 compared with April 2025 (Base year 2013=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.71%. While, the prices of rental of equipment increased by 0.14%. At the same time, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2025 compared with the previous month.

The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) in the West Bank* reached 115.26 with a decrease of 0.41% during May 2025 compared with April 2025 (Base month December 2008=100).

At the level of major groups, the prices of operating costs of equipment and maintenance decreased by 1.70%, the prices of raw material decreased by 0.59%, and the prices of rental of equipment slightly decreased by 0.02%. While, the prices of the labour costs and wages remained stable during May 2025 compared with the previous month.

The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) in the West Bank* reached 133.09 with a decrease of 0.29% during May 2025 compared with April 2025 (Base month January 2010=100).

The Water Reservoirs Cost Index reached 117.75 with a decrease of 0.72%, and the Water Networks Cost Index reached 140.07 with a decrease of 0.12% during May 2025 compared with April 2025.

The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) in the West Bank* reached 118.55 with a slight decrease of 0.07% during May 2025 compared with April 2025 (Base month January 2010=100).
