RAMALLAH, March 29, 2011 (WAFA) - Nabil Sha’ath, member of Fatah central committee Monday revealed that there are efforts to insure a positive response to President Mahmoud Abbas’s initiative, stating that there is nothing indicating any rejection of the initiative.

He told WAFA that Abbas is committed to his initiative which was launched during the Central Council’s meetings two weeks ago, to end the Palestinian internal division.

Sha’ath said that Abbas’s request for the return of the constitution Drafting Committee to complete the Palestinian constitution is an evidence of the leadership’s insistence to establish a Palestinian state by September.

The Constitutional Committee started working  in 1999 to draft a Palestinian constitution, and stopped in 2004.
