Israeli drone strike kills five humanitarian aid personnel in northern Gaza Strip

GAZA, August 4, 2025 (WAFA) – At least five civilians were killed and seven others were injured, on Monday in Israeli drone strike on a group of humanitarian aid personnel at Al-Tawam Roundabout in the northern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

The strike resulted in the killing of five people. The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals, many in critical condition.

In a separate attack, Mahmoud Jawad Ali Al-Durra, a resident of Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, succumbed to injuries sustained during an earlier Israeli airstrike on the area.

Simultaneously, Uday Nahed Al-Quraan, a nurse at Al-Aqsa Hospital, also died after being directly hit by airdropped aid crates in the Al-Zawaida area.  The heavy boxes fell directly on Al-Quraan while he was assisting in distributing aid.

Medical sources affirmed that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has surged to 60,939, the majority of whom are women and children, with nearly 150,027 reported injuries since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Strip on October 7, 2023.

Ambulance and civil defense teams face difficulties in reaching hundreds of victims trapped under the rubble, due to the ongoing bombardment and lack of resources.
